Long Time No-Write!

Wow! Its been a while since I peered into my blog... but, as promised, I'm back! My brother's wedding is finished and over (thank god!), my mom is getting ready to sell her house, my 17 year old cat is living with me again (for those with cat allergies please note that the floor I receive visitors is relatively cat-free), and I'm fresh for the Back-2-School season.

Being away from Montreal gives me the chance to think about escorting in a new atmosphere. I get to tell my family how much I love my life and my job, and new ideas form in my head. One of those ideas is upgrading my 'office' by changing the room I escort. This weekend I moved my escorting room from the guest bedroom room to the master bedroom. It is twice as big, and more comfortable. It may not be as important for clients, but for me I like the new space and the furniture configuration. The street noise is also less pronounced, and it is naturally cooler. Next planned upgrade is a king-sized bed for a larger play surface.

Talking about escorting to my friends and family makes me realize how much 'business' skills are involved. But the most important is customer service... and I do admit that I could do a better job in returning telephone messages. I don't return all messages because of experience; if I miss a call by about 4 hours and call back later, it's usually too late and that is the tone I hear on the other line. Although I do not answer the phone when I am with someone, I think that the person present appreciates it. As for those who I didn't call back, please know that I am not avoiding you! You can, however, indicate on your message that it is ok to call back the next day or whatever.

Je veux aussi faire un effort d'écrire en français, mais je sais que mon anglais est meilleur. Mais je pense que les gens peuvent me comprendre quand même avec tous mes anglicismes et mes fautes. Je devrais juste écrire un peu pour pratiquer, mais la difficulté ce n'est pas le jugement des gens français « pur », mais c'est le fait que je sais que je peux beaucoup améliorer. C'est un effort!

I look forward to September and starting fall projects. The weather is excellent, and I'm ready to start a new exercise program. I hope to talk to you soon!
