Although it has only been a month since I have been toying with the idea of leading a group of gay men for a fun-filled long weekend of enjoying life to the fullest together, I am receiving responses of interest. The excitement is building up slowly in me, but I am remaining calm because this will take time to build a group who travel well together (I have been on many group trips and this is important!) as well as choosing the destination packages.
My first test trip experience will probably be in the winter to a tropical destination, but I have yet to find a date to do it. I don't expect to have any co-travellers by then, because it's going to be an experiment and I don't feel comfortable recommending something that I have not tried myself.
That being said, my first trip will probably be the most intimate because of the shared first experience in the travel club. Because if I really like it and want to do it again, each subsequent group may be larger and larger as time goes by. First thing is first: examine, explore and go for it.
I'm risking that it will be incredibly fun. Therefore I couldn't let the opportunity go. A year goes by fast, and I will know much more in 2018 at this time, with lots of planning ahead of me.
When I envision my future, I see myself traveling and meeting new people and making new friends and connections. My aspirations is that I now have a tool to help me get to that goal, in a unique way that suits my personality. Basically I am trying to create a win-win situation for everyone.
How good is that?
